Minor Jharkhand boy rescued from J&K, handed over to parents

A 12-year-old boy, who had run away from his house in Jharkhand, was rescued by police and handed over to his parents in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir.

The boy Barindra Kumar, a resident of Gurcharan Mahoto village of Jharkhand, was recovered by a police team on Saturday as he was wandering near railway station in Vijaypur belt of Samba district, a police officer said.

He was brought to the police station before he could get caught up in the wrong hands, he said.

On questioning, the boy disclosed that his father had beaten him after which he ran away from his home, boarded a train and reached Vijaypur, he said.
 

Today, the parents of Barindra were called from Jharkhand and his custody was handed over to them, the Officer said.
