A 13-year-old girl was allegedly
raped by a tantrik in Jarwal road area, police sources said here today.
The victim's family members had called one Mahadev to perform exorcism to cure her mother who had been keeping ill for some time, they said.
Mahadev allegedly raped the girl at her home on Friday night after administering sedatives to the girl, they said, adding that the incident came to the fore yesterday when the victim gained consciousness.
The accused has been arrested after the victim's family members handed him to the police.
