Amid heavy rain and hailstorm, two minor sisters were swept away in a drain in Vinayika village, 100 kms off Jhalawar district headquarters, police said today.

One of the girls' body was recovered this morning, while divers and search team were still searching the other girl, the police said.

The deceased was identified as Krishna, 5, while Radha, 5, was still to be found, they said.

The incident occurred yesterday when the girls were in farms with their mother and it started raining heavily along with hailstorm as they rushed back home, they said.

The girls, who were walking ahead of their mother, disappeared after they reached near an open drain on the way, police said.

The woman approached police after she did not find her daughters at home and following which an FIR was lodged with the Pagariya police station and search initiated, officials said.
