Mishra offers to remove red-light, widrawal of police escort

Leader of Opposition Narasingha Mishra of Congress today requested the Odisha govenrment to remove red light on his vehicle and withdraw security cover provided to him.
Though Mishra did not reveal reason behind the decision, he in a letter to the chief secretary said, "I am not in favour of using red light vehicle of the Leader of Opposition. I am no more using it on my vehcile."
Stating that he does not require police ercort during tour to his home district of Bolangir or outside the district, Mishra said, "The police escort facility provided to me may be withdrawan.
