Mizoram quota students to agree to work for state govt

Students admitted to post graduate courses in medical colleges of the country on Mizoram state quota would have to sign an agreement for two years of mandatory employment with the state government after completion of their studies, an official statement said today.
State Health Minister Lal Thanzara announced this at a conference of Mizoram Government Doctors' Association here and said the decision was taken to tackle manpower shortage in the medical department.
Lal Thanzara also asked government doctors to give satisfactory mental, physical and spiritual care to their patients.
He also appealed to the doctors not to neglect their patients in the government hospitals while being engaged in private practice.
