Mob lynches man for killing former village head

A 35-year-old man was today beaten to death by a mob after he allegedly shot dead a former village head in Tambore here, police said.

Following an altercation, former village head Soneylaal (55) was shot dead by Suneel, they said.

Suneel tried to fled from the spot but was caught by locals who beat him up, police said, adding that he succumbed to his injuries on the way to a hospital.

A case has been registered in connection with the matters, police added.
