Mother-new born charred to death

A mother and a new born were burnt to death in a fire at Beliabera under Jhargram sub-division in West Midnapore district today.

Police said the charred body of the 26-year old Phulan and her 11-day old baby were recovered from the gutted house after putting of the flames.

The two were alone in the house and the fire was spotted by neighbours later on.

The woman's family members were informed.
