Prices of mustard and cottonseed oil rose by up to Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today due to up tick in demand from retailers.
Castor oil in the non-edible section, also recovered on increased offtake by consuming industries.
Traders said, besides pick up in demand from retailers fall in arrivals from producing belts led to the rise in mustard and cottonseed oil prices.
In the national capital, mustard expeller (Dadri) oil went up by Rs 100 to Rs 8,050 per quintal. Mustard pakki ghani and Kachi ghani followed suit and traded higher by Rs 10 each to Rs 1,295-1,340 and Rs 1,345-1,445 per tin.
Cottonseed mill delivery (Haryana) oil also edged up by Rs 50 to Rs 7,600 per quintal.

Among non-edibles, castor oil, too, traded higher by Rs 100 to Rs 7,700-7,800 per quintal.
