Nabard today reported a 5 per cent increase in net profit for the financial year 2015-16 at Rs 2,523.81 crore.
The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Nabard) had reported a net profit of Rs 2,403.26 crore in 2014-15.
Total income of the lender increased to Rs 20,730.12 crore during the fiscal as against Rs 17,804.46 crore a year ago, it said in a regulatory filing.

The bank's provisions for bad loans and contingencies were brought down to Rs 104.19 crore in 2015-16 from Rs 114.25 crore a year ago.
The gross non-performing assets stood at 0.07 per cent (Rs 190.51 crore) of gross advances during the fiscal. It was slightly up from 0.05 per cent (Rs 125.99 crore) a year ago.
