National Voters' Day celebrated at Ghaziabad

National Voters' Day was celebrated here with District Election Officer Vimal Kumar Sharma appealing to the people to exercise their franchise to strengthen the Indian democracy.

Sharma inaugurated the function by lighting a lamp at the premises of ITS college in Mohan Nagar here.

Addressing the gathering at the auditorium, he asked the people to vote for strengthening the Indian democracy.

An oath was also administered to the students to use their adult franchise without any bias towards any caste, creed or religion.

He informed that any person who is eligible can get himself enrolled by contacting at Voters' Registration Centre or alternatively log on at Election Commision website www.Eci.Nic.In and fill their online forms for enrollment, change of name, correction or errors or for transposition of their names.
 

Voters can also check the voters lists online for any errors.

Any person who notices bogus voters enrolled in the electoral rolls can also report at district election office.

Booth level officers were also awarded for their performance.
