NCW directs Delhi Police to apprise of probe in woman's killing

The National Commission for Women (NCW) took today cognisance of a case involving alleged killing of a woman by her boyfriend here and directed the Delhi Police to apprise it of the probe into the matter, an official said.

According to a media report, the 18-year-old woman was reportedly shot dead by her boyfriend who suspected her of having an affair in Shalimar Bagh.

The suspect was taken into police custody but he managed to escape, the official said, noting that the commission has written to the DCP of North West Delhi, Aslam Khan, to apprise it of the probe into the case.
