A negligible amount of rainfall was recorded today in Kolkata, where the maximum temperature was 30 degree Celsius, weather officials said.
Scanty or moderate rainfall was recorded in other parts of the state, the Met office said.
It said a meagre amount of 0.5 mm rainfall was recorded in the city. The minimum temperature was 26.5 degrees Celsius, while the highest went up to 30.9 degrees Celsius.
The Met office has forecast cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers for tomorrow.
