A man has been arrested today in connection with killing of a 35-year-old woman, police said.
Sapna, a resident of Faridnagar in Bhojur police station area on February 5 was strangulated and set afire allegedly by her neighbour Sarjeet and his family members, they said.
The victim was taken to a hospital in Meerut in a critical condition, where she succumbed to her injuries on February 14.
Sapna's brother-in law Dharmendra Sharma had lodged a complaint against Sarjeet and his relatives and a case has been registered in this connection.
SP (Dehat) Jagdish Sharma said last night Sarjeet was apprehended, while his other family members are still absconding.
Investigations are on and they would be nabbed soon, the SP said.
