New RSP unit breaks single-day-production record again

The Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) today said one of its new units has managed to surpass single-day production record for the fifth time in 22 days.

The benchmark has been registered by the Sinter Plant-3, one of the units that has come up as part of the recent modernisation and expansion, RSP said in a release.

On December 15, the unit made 12,322 ton of sinter, thereby breaking the previous record of 11,854 ton that was created on December 12 this year, it said.
