NFF, NAPM demand rollback of demonetisation measure

National Fishworkers Forum (NFF) and National Alliance of People's Movements (NAPM) today urged the government to rollback the demonetisation policy, saying it has caused immense hardship to the coastal people.

In a joint statement, they said the scrapping of high- value notes is hardly offering any scientific solution to the actual black money and corruption issue.

They also alleged that the NDA-government's Sagarmala project, an initiative to augment infrastructure in coastal areas of the country, is a "noose around coastal communities".
