Nick Cassavetes to direct Ronda Rousey's 'Road House'

Filmmaker Nick Cassavetes has been roped in by MGM to write and direct the reboot of Patrick Swayze's "Road House," starring Ultimate Fighting Championship fighter Ronda Rousey.

Rousey, 28, who is currently training for her championship fight, will soon start preparing for her role.

The shoot of the film is scheduled to happen in the first quarter of 2016, reported Variety.

The original movie, released in 1989 starred Swayze as a bouncer, who is hired, to take care of the loudest bars in Missouri.

"Road House" follows MGM's reboot of another classic, the "Rocky" spinoff "Creed" that will hits the theatres in November.
 

The project will mark Rousey's biggest role till date.
