Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh today said Centre has not received any proposal from the Uttar Pradesh government regarding constitution of a High Court bench in West part of the state.
"Centre has not received any proposal from the UP government for constitution of High court bench in West UP," Singh told reporters in reply to a question.
The lawyers of the region have been agitating for a separate HC bench for west UP.

Singh, who was here to participate in "Panchkalyan Mahotsava", however, said that if the UP government sends any proposal in this regard, Centre would consider it.
When asked about the political situation in Bihar, Rajnath did not make any comment.
