Noted Indian-origin businessman in Nepal dies

Nepal's noted Indian-origin businessman Banwari Lal Mittal passed away today at his residence here after protracted illness. He was 79.

Chairman of Shree Airlines, Mittal died after returning to Kathmandu on Monday following his treatment in India. He had been ill since last one month.

Mittal, who has served as chairman of Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Marwadi Sewa Samiti in the past, is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter.

He was also involved with various social organisations.

Mittal had launched Shree Airlines some 16 years ago. The airline is the largest chartered helicopter services of Nepal boasting seven helicopters.
