The National Council of Science Museums and the Science Museum Group, UK will jointly hold exhibitions in the country to create awareness on antibiotic resistance.
The exhibition - Superbugs: The Fight for Our Lives - will be held in four venues across the country, an NSCM statement said Thursday.
The objective is to help address the lack of public awareness and understanding about antibiotic resistance, it said.
The country-wide exhibition, part of an international tour of the Science Museum Group, UK, is expected to reach about one million people over a period of one year.
The country-wide tour will begin in 2019.
The NCSM statement said that Anti-microbial Resistance (AMR) occurs when microbes, including bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites, no longer respond to the drugs used to treat them.
Similar exhibitions will be held in four venues in China in partnership with the Guandong Science Center in Guangzhou, it said.
