The Special Investigation Team (SIT) has arrested a suspected NSCN(IM) cadre almost six months after the brutal killing of nine Karbis at Pachaspura area in Dimapur district, police said here today.
The cadre was arrested near the Dimapur DC office yesterday, said Dimapur Additional SP and member of the SIT, Wati Ao.
With the arrest, SIT has so far nabbed four accused suspected to be involved in the December 28, 2013 massacre of nine Karbi people at Pachaspura in the outskirts of Dimapur, the SP said.
Three other persons from the Naga underground group were arrested in connection with the case earlier this year, enabling police to establish the identity of those suspected to be behind the killing, sources said.
