O P Prahladka takes over as Chairman of EPCH

Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) today said O P Prahladka has taken over as new Chairman of the body.

He was vice-chairman of EPCH.

In order to sustain the growth of the sector, Prahladka said issues like international marketing initiatives, cluster development projects, design and product development needs to be pursued more vigorously.

Handicraft exports grew by about 14 per cent to Rs 24,530.25 crore in 2016-17 from Rs 21,557.12 crore in 2015-16.
