Odisha Congress' Cuttack district chief quits post

The president of Cuttack District Congress Committee (DCC), Prakash Kumar Behera, tendered his resignation from the post of DCC chief today.

Behra is also the MLA of Salepur Assembly constituency.

In a letter to Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) chief Niranjan Patnaik, the first time MLA has stated that he has decided to quit the DCC post so that he can dedicate more time to the people of his constituency.

"I am only quitting the DCC post in order spend some more time in my Constituency," he said when asked whether he has any plan to quit the party or resign from the Assembly.
