Over 2,100 selected by companies in job fair: Min

Over 2,100 people, including 306 differently abled, have been selected by 30 companies in an eight days long job fair, Employment Minister Gopal Rai said here today.

Rai distributed offer letters to candidates who were selected for jobs in the summit.

While addressing a gathering of selected candidates at Shah Auditorium, Rai also said that government has done a new experiment by organising such a job fair which will provide job opportunities to unemployed persons.

The minister also said that in total, 2,108 persons, including 306 differently abled persons, have been selected by different companies.

Calling it a "trust summit" and not just a job summit, he said this will enhance trust between people, companies and the government.
 

Addressing the gathering, Rai said, "This is our first attempt and after a year, we will organise a get together to get the feedback of employees selected in the job fair."

"The job you have got will give new opportunity and increase your confidence level. In future, government will organise more such job summits so that unemployed persons could get jobs," he said.
