Paris agreement: Delegates from 35 countries show solidarity

Delegates from 35 countries gathered together in the national capital today in support for climate change solutions which are to be catalyzed with the Paris Agreement to be signed at United Nations General Assembly in New York.

"This Earth Day, Paharpur Business Centre (PBC); The Climate Reality Project- India Chapter (NPO founded by Al Gore, Former Vice President of USA); and Earth Day Network joined hands and brought together over 35 countries for tree plantation ceremony in commendation with the signing of the Paris Agreement," an official statement said.

"This Earth Day marks a historical movement in the wake of environmental protection across the globe. Over 155 Countries are assembling in New York to sign the toughest and the most important commitment for survival.
 

"The agreement contains a range of measures that are meant to counteract the damage climate change is causing the planet. The delegates included Ambassadors, High Commissioners and other Diplomats besides school children, heads and senior officials of the different corporate houses, chambers of commerce and government sectors," the statement further added.
