Amid reports of post-poll violence in Chikiti assembly segment in Odisha, Ganjam district administration has formed a peace committee to maintain law and order.
"There are 27 members in the committee and they are responsible for maintaining peace at Ankuda, Kaitha, Suna reddy and Patrapur villages under Patrapur block," a senior government official said.
Leaders of different political parties and villagers were taken into confidence before forming the committee, the officer added.
