Armed miscreants shot dead a petrol pump owner and wounded another person in Bihar's Siwan district, a police officer said.
The incident took place late last night in Asanwa bazar as three motorcycle-borne miscreants raided the petrol pump and shot at its owner Surendra Chaudhary and another employee after they resisted their bid to loot money from cash box, Superintendent of Police (SP) Vikas Barman said.
The injured persons were brought to the Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) where the petrol pump owner died during treatment, the SP said.
A case has been registered in this connection and raids were being carried out to nab the culprits, the SP added.
