At least two people were injured when a section of China's second West-to-East natural gas pipeline exploded in eastern Jiangxi Province today, state media said.
The explosion took place at an industrial zone in Shangli county in the province.
Local officials said following the explosion, gas supply through the exploded pipeline stopped and relevant government agencies started investigation of the explosion.
The exploded pipeline belongs to the second line of the country's West-to-East natural gas pipeline programme that transports gas from the central Asia to south China, according to state-run Xinhua news agency.
