Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made yoga international with 180 countries, including Pakistan celebrating it, Union Minister Vijay Goel said today.

While there are no reports of mass participation in International Yoga Day celebrations in Pakistan, the Indian High Commission there had organised a yoga camp that was attended by the diplomatic community.

"Our Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made yoga international. Not only is the day being celebrated across India but 180 countries across the world are celebrating the occasion.

"I had also heard that Pakistan is also observing Yoga Day and this is our big achievement," the Sports Minister said.

Goel made these comments at an event where he was present along with other dignitaries, including NDA's presidential candidate Ram Nath Kovind and Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu, Delhi Lt Governor Anil Baijal and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal early this morning at a yoga event in Connaught Place.
