PM speaks to Putin over St Petersburg blast

Prime Minister Narendra Modi tonight spoke to Russian President Vladimir Putin to express deepest condolences over the loss of lives in the St Petersburg metro on Monday.

"PM expressed deepest condolences to the government and people of Russia on the tragic loss of lives in the blast in St. Petersburg metro," the PMO said.

Fourteen people had been killed in the suicide bomb attack at the metro station.
