PMT scam: Father-son duo held

A medical student and his father were arrested by the Special Task Force (STF) in connection with the MP Professional Examination Board's (MPPEB) Pre-Medical Test (PMT) scam.

The duo, identified as Kundan Verma and his father Badrilal Verma, was arrested by the STF and produced before a court today, STF sources said.

While the court has remanded Kundan to police custody till April 9, his father was sent to judicial custody.

Kundan was studying in MBBS first year in Mahatma Gandhi Memorial (MGM) Medical College in Indore and his father managed his admission through a gang involved in the scam in exchange of huge sum of money, police said.
 

So far, more than 30 persons, including the MPPEB's Examination Controller, Dr Pankaj Trivedi and three other officers were arrested by the STF in connection with the scam.
