A police constable was today seriously injured after being shot at by some unidentified persons in Bahriyabad area here, police said.
The incident took place when constable Dharmendra and two others colleagues had encounter with the miscreants, who opened fire at them.
Dharmendra was injured in the incident while the miscreants managed to flee the spot, they said.
A probe has been started into the matter, they said.
