Police driver killed in accident

A police driver today died in an accident after he lost control over his vehicle following stone pelting by some men at Palhalan in north Kashmir's Baramulla district, police said.

The deceased Kanwal Nain Singh lost control over the bus when miscreant pelted stones at it at Palhalan, 35 kms from here, a police spokesman said.

The accident took place when he was on his way back after offering prayers on the occasion of Eid.

Police has registered a case and started investigations into the incident, he added.
