Pondy CM pays tributes to SardarPatel on his birth

Puducherry Chief Minister V Narayanasamy today paid floral tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, popularly referred to as 'Iron Man' on the occasion of his birth anniversary here today.

The Chief Minister paid tributes at the leader's portrait here and took salute at the march past presented by Puducherry Police.

He also flagged off 'Run for Unity' organised by the Directorate of Education here as part of the celebration of the birth anniversary of the veteran freedom fighter.

Earlier, Narayanasamy administered the 'Rashtriya Ekta Diwas' pledge to all those present at the venue.

Director General of Police S K Gautam, Chief Secretary to Puducherry government Manoj Parida, Secretary to Education S. Sundaravadivelou and officials were among those present.
