Post-graduate youth on payrole held for robbery

Virender Pratap Singh, who holds a PG degree in political science, was apprehended from the firm by 62-year-old cashier Manohar Lal and its owner when he allegedly tried to rob money on gun point in Keshavpuram yesterday.

Singh is out on a 42-day parole since May 11. He was imprisoned in a case of dacoity in Gonda in 2008, Meenu Choudhury, Deputy Commissioner of Police (North-West), said.
