Power holiday to Telangana industries reduced to one day

Telangana government decided to revert to a one-day power holiday per week to industries today, after an improvement in the power supply situation.

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao instructed CMD of TS Genco and TS Transco, D Prabhakar Rao, to reduce the two-day power holiday a week, imposed three weeks ago, to a one-day power holiday after an improvement in the power supply position, an official in the CM's office said.

Industries in the infant state had expressed concern over the two-day power holiday a week, saying it would cause huge production and financial losses to units, particularly those in the SME sector.
