Prices to increase from middle of March

Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) has predicted an increase in brinjal prices from the middle of next month.

The prices would hover around Rs.6 to 10 per kg in Coimbatore, Rs.5 to 8 in Thalaivasal and Oddanchattiram wholesale markets, the report said.

The forecast was the outcome of price analysis carried out at the markets prevailing for the last 11 years, Agriculture Marketing Intelligence and Business Promotion Centre in TNAU said today.
