Principal held for accepting Rs 20K bribe

A school principal was today arrested for allegedly accepting Rs 20,000 as bribe, a senior Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) official said.
Amin Ali Shabbir Ali, principal of Sir Sayyad Ahmed Khan primary school, had demanded Rs 40,000 as bribe from a teacher to send a proposal to confirm her services to the Maharashtra education department, the official said.
After negotiations, he settled for Rs 20,000. Acting on a complaint, a trap was laid at his office and Ali was apprehended while accepting the bribe, the official added.
