An under-trial prisoner was today attacked and injured seriously by fellow prisoner in the district jail here.
Mohammand Yunus (40), a convict in attempt to murder case, was attacked with a brick by another prisoner Wasim, convict of culpable homicide, injuring him seriously, Jail Superintendent Shashikant said.
The incident took place when Yunus was sleeping, he said, adding he was rushed to hospital where his condition was serious.
