Property dealer abducted, murdered in Haryana

A property dealer was allegedly abducted and murdered by four persons in Sirsa district of Haryana, police said today.

Shubham, a resident of Kanganpur Road, yesterday complained that his father Neparam has been abducted and the culprits were demanding ransom of Rs five lakh, a police spokesperson said.

Sirsa Superintendent of Police (SP) Ashwin Shenvi constituted separate teams of police officers and directed them to carryout search operation to nab the accused, he said.

During the search operation, the teams gathered evidences and on basis of which arrested the four accused, he said.

The main accused has been identified as Devi Lal and his associates Ramkishan of village Gidra, Sandeep and Mukesh alias Monu of Sikandarpur, he said.
 

They confessed that they stangulated Neparam to death and threw his body near a drain between Dhotar and Khariyan village, he said.

The body was recovered from the spot and was handed over to his family members after the postmortem today, he said.

The accused would be presented in the Court at Sirsa and police will seek their remand, he added.
