Puducherry Chief Minister V Narayanasamy on Tuesday congratulated India's ace badminton player P V Sindhu for winning the world championship title in Switzerland.
Making a statement in the assembly, he said that Sindhu was the first Indian to win the world championship and through this "glorious act she has done India proud".
Narayanasamy greeted her on his and on behalf of the assembly and the people of the union territory for her historic triumph.
