CPI-M's Puducherry unit today charged the AINRC government headed by N.Rangasamy with 'hoodwinking' people without translating any of the promises given during the runup to 2011 assembly polls into action.
Unit Secretary R Rajangam alleged in a release here today that government had let down farmers, students, the depressed and downtrodden without any welfare measures.
Besides, civic polls, which should have been held in 2011, were yet to be notified.
Protesting against this and focusing on the "pitiable plight of the people because of chaotic administration," the party would hold street corner meetings for three days from March 8 and stage a demonstration at the assembly premises on March 11 when the budget session of the House is scheduled to begin, he said.
