Punjab govt instruct departments to submit usage certificates

The Punjab government today instructed all departments to submit usage certificates of grants so that a consolidated report on it could be sent to Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal.

"All departments are supposed to send their reports regularly for compiling a quarterly consolidated report on grants which is forwarded to the Chief Minister for his appraisal," a government spokesman said here.

"It has come to light that some departments have not sent these reports after November 6, 2012," he said.

The state government has now strictly instructed all departments to send the pending usage certificates of grants at the earliest and also ensure that in future, no such delay takes place.
