The district received a total of 474.20 MM rains in the last 24 hours ending 8. 30 AM today, recording an average of 39. 52 MM rainfall.
Chinnakallar registered the highest rainfall of 212 MM, followed by Cincona 105, Valparai Taluk 64 and Valparai PAP 60 MM rains, an official report said here.
While Pollachi registered 14 mm, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University received 10 mm and Coimbatore South six mm, it said.
Holidays have been declared for the educational institutions in Valparai for the last three days, following incessant rains.
