Rains today lashed various parts of Punjab and Haryana, bringing relief to people from sultry weather conditions.
Chandigarh recorded a maximum at 34.8 degrees Celsius while rainfall was at 0.2 mm, the MeT Department said.
In Punjab, Amritsar, Ludhiana and Patiala recieved rainfall of 1.2 mm, 2 mm and 1 mm respectively.

The maximum temperatures stood at 32.1 degrees Celsius in Amritsar, 30.5 degrees Celsius in Ludhiana and 34.5 degrees Celsius in Patiala, up to four notches below normal.
In Haryana, Ambala and Hisar recorded their maximums at 36.7 degrees and 38 degrees.
The MeT department has forecast rains at a few places in Punjab and Haryana tomorrow.
