Moderate to rather heavy rain or thundershowers occurred at many places over Uttar Pradesh in the last 24 hours.
Baheri and Puranpur recorded 7 cm rainfall while Bareilly, Bisauli got 5 cm, and Agra, Aonla and Rampur 3 cm, the Met departmen said.
Day temperatures rose markedly in Jhansi division, appreciably in Faizabad, Kanpur, Lucknow divisions, fell markedly in Moradabad division, appreciably in Bareilly division and rose in Agra and Meerut divisions.
Jhansi recorded the highest maximum temperature in the state at 26.7 degrees Celsius while Muzaffarnagar registered the lowest minimum at 9 degrees Celsius.
Weather would be dry over the state from March 5, the Met department predicted.
