Rakesh Gupta has been re-elected as the president of Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industries (JCCI) after emerging victorious in biennial elections.
"For the post of president, Rakesh Gupta secured 1,208 votes while Arun Gupta secured 1,028 votes yesterday. Rakesh Gupta was elected as president," Annil Suri, who was President of Election committee, said here today.
The biennial elections of the Chamber of Commerce & Industry for the term 2017-19 were held today on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at Chamber House under the supervision of the election committee headed by Suri.

Suri said Rajesh Gupta was elected as senior vice president. For the post of senior vice president, Rajesh Gupta secured 1,806 votes, followed by Rajiv K Gupta who secured 435 votes.
Suri said for the post of junior vice president, Rajiv Gupta (Kaka) secured 1,138 votes and Rahul Mahajan secured 1105 votes.
Rajeev Gupta (Kaka) was named junior vice president.
Manish Gupta was elected as secretary general by securing 1,294 votes, while Deepak Aggarwal secured 939 votes.
For the post of secretary, Gaurav Gupta secured 1,323 votes and Rajesh Gupta secured 905 votes. Gaurav Gupta was elected as secretary.
Ashu Gupta was declared elected unopposed as treasurer.
