Raveena Tandon rubbishes mother's 'obituary' report

Actress Raveena Tandon says her mother is "hale and hearty", after a newspaper carried out her "obituary" report.

Raveena, 40, took to Twitter and posted a photograph of her mother Veena, who is seen dancing at a function.

"And my mom hale and hearty/ dancing away yesterday at a function, a leading newspaper wrote her obituary yesterday!"

The actress said she received an apology for the report, which was carried out by a journalist who knows her for years, adding, "this proves media not checking facts at all anymore!"

"We all had a good laugh this morning after reading the papers!! Mom said 'inlog ko kya jaldi hai.' She is a woman with undying spirit...
 

"Taught me how to fight my battles, not accept wrong! That if you go down but not without a fight! Give it back! So she NOT going anywhere!"

Raveena was last seen in Anurag Kashyap's "Bombay Velvet".
