Rajasthan-based Rays Power Infra has announced commissioning of another solar power project of 5 MW in Karnataka's Bijapur district, taking the firm's solar portfolio to 58 MW with 60 MW under various stages of execution.
The total cost of the project at Indi village is Rs 33 crore and it has an estimated annual output of 9 million KWH a year, the company said.
The power will be supplied to Hubli Electricity Supply Company Limited (HESCOM) in Karnataka at a fixed tariff of Rs 8.5 per unit, it said.

Rays Power Infra, which claims to be the largest private solar park owner in the country, provides turnkey solution for setting up solar power plants. Its scope of work includes designing, engineering, procurement, erection, installation and commissioning of the solar power plant.
Ketan Mehta, Director, Operations at Rays Power Infra Pvt Ltd. Said this project will set up a bench mark for upcoming 500 MW solar bids in Karnataka in which the company will participate for capacities up to 100 MW with various investors & corporates.
"We will also launch a new solar park in Karnataka very soon," he said.
