Record power demand on New Year's eve in MP

A record 14,326 MW of power was successfully supplied by the three electricity distribution companies on New Year's eve in Madhya Pradesh, a senior official said on Wednesday.

"We met a peak demand of 14,326 MW successfully on New Year's eve," MP Power Management Company managing director Nitesh Vyas said.

This was the highest-ever power demand that was met successfully in the state, he added.

Earlier, the highest peak demand was recorded at 14,089 MW on January 5, 2019.
