Refined soya oil prices traded lower by 0.89 per cent to Rs 556.40 per 10 kg in futures trade today as participants reduced exposure, triggered by easing demand at the spot market against adequate stocks.
At National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in October fell by Rs 5, or 0.89 per cent to Rs 556.40 per 10 kg with an open interest of 86,595 lots.
Similarly, the oil contract for delivery in August contracts traded lower by Rs 4.45, or 0.77 per cent to Rs 570.25 per 10 kg in 1,20,055 lots.
Analysts said offloading of positions by participants due to low demand at the spot market mainly weighed on refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
